Short project description:

The expecting result of this study is the reduction of chronic tinnitus symptoms by rTMS. We also presume, that rTMS should augment the effect of chronic tinnitus medication and moderate the inconveniences of the patients. Simultaneously we should acquire valuable data concerning the prevalence and dynamic development of eventual psychic symptoms in rTMS stimulated group.

The aim of the project is to investigate the effect of rTMS on patients with chronic tinnitus in double-blind sham-controlled study.

Project Milestones, Timing:

The length of the study: 48 month

1. Phase: 1. -36. month: actualization of scientific literature, forming a set of patients (verify the entrance and excluding criteria, informed consent, randomization), rTMS therapy, preliminary data analysis

2. Phase: 36-48. month:  data analysis, presentation of the results, elaboration of the final report
